Start with the activity, then ask about the boat

Sanur Fishing publishes six different programmes, from a short traditional-boat fishing lesson to a larger-boat charter towards Nusa Penida. The useful first decision is how you want to spend the outing: learning bottom fishing, trying several methods, combining fishing and snorkeling, or reserving a boat for a broader day plan. Those choices change the equipment, time commitment and questions to ask.

This guide compares the operator's public descriptions as read on 11 October 2026. Published prices below are source references in Indonesian rupiah, not confirmed GTX offers for your date. The operator's detailed sections and summary cards disagree in several places. We keep those differences visible so a smaller headline price or larger passenger number does not silently become a promise.

Six programmes at a glance

These are programme durations, not measured fishing time. Travel, setup and other activities may take part of the outing. The full-day charter uses a day label without a numeric duration in the reviewed description.

Three-hour traditional beginner fishing

The beginner programme centres on bottom fishing and instruction from the captain. Its stated targets include snapper and coral trout. Treat these as the operator's intended fishing targets, not evidence that a particular species will be available or caught on your day. The description mentions a nearshore area about 3 km away, but an exact route and boarding coordinates have not been established.

Three published slots are 06:00-09:00, 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00. Custom timing can be requested. The detailed price ladder describes one private boat with the listed party size; it does not certify the vessel's passenger capacity. A family group should ask about the actual boat, children's suitability, lifejacket sizes and boarding arrangements rather than relying on the family-oriented marketing.

23,000,000
33,500,000
44,000,000
54,500,000
65,000,000

Fishing tackle, lures and bait, captain instruction, snacks, mineral water, lifejackets and navigation are listed. The source also lists seasickness medicine; this is an inventory statement, not a recommendation to take it. The source describes releasing fish or keeping suitably sized fish, but does not establish the applicable catch rules or an agreed catch-handling policy for your trip.

Price difference to resolve: the detailed six-person tier is IDR 5,000,000, while the short summary stops at IDR 4,500,000. Ask for the total for your exact party, including children and non-fishing companions.

Five-hour traditional professional fishing

This programme combines trolling with Rapala or skirt lures and bottom fishing with prawn bait. Jigging, casting and popping are described as advance-request options; they should be arranged before the outing rather than assumed to be available spontaneously. The operator lists skipjack tuna, barracuda, trevally, mahi mahi, wahoo and snapper as targets. There is no verified seasonal calendar or catch forecast in this comparison.

The detailed programme gives a maximum of five hours and slots of 06:00-11:00 or 12:00-17:00, with customized timing available on request. Its listed provisions include professional tackle, lures and bait, a captain, snacks, mineral water and lifejackets. The professional programme also lists safety equipment; ask what is aboard the actual vessel. Seasickness medicine is listed by the source, without any medical recommendation here.

13,000,000
24,000,000
35,000,000
45,000,000

Snorkeling gear is described as free when requested beforehand. That equipment option does not establish a separate snorkeling stop, a guide or extra time. Ask how it fits your chosen fishing route.

Duration difference to resolve: the programme body says five hours, but the operator's professional-programme WhatsApp link contains a three-hour description. No message has been sent. Have the operator identify the intended programme, start time and return time in writing.

Six-hour private big-boat fishing towards Nusa Penida

The private big-boat fishing block describes a 12 m boat, a headline party of up to six people, and a six-hour half-day package towards Nusa Penida. Trolling and bottom fishing are listed, with skipjack tuna, mahi mahi, snapper and coral trout among the stated targets. No current boat name, registration or assigned captain has been verified.

Its published amount is IDR 13,500,000. The reviewed price line does not independently settle the charging unit or the number of guests included in that amount. Keep the headline party statement separate from both the tariff and certified passenger capacity. The equipment list contains four fishing sets, which is also not proof that every passenger can fish simultaneously.

The block lists a lunchbox, mineral water, a cooler, navigation equipment, lifejackets, a toilet, captain and crew, and permit and insurance. The last two items are source claims: policy documents, covered activities, exclusions and beneficiary details remain unknown. Confirm food preferences, access to drinking water, actual onboard facilities and the equipment arrangement for anglers and companions.

Full-day big-boat charter: the broadest description, the least settled quote

The separate charter block advertises a 12 m boat, a party of eight to seventeen on request, and travel to Nusa Penida and beyond. It gives a published price range of IDR 16,500,000-28,000,000. These endpoints have not been assigned to particular boats, routes, guest counts or dates. The general all-included wording is not an itemized agreement.

No numeric duration is stated for this full-day block. Do not turn its name into an eight-hour charter or copy the six-hour fishing package's inclusions into it. Ask for the exact vessel, itinerary, boarding and return times, charging basis, crew, fuel allowance, meals, equipment and any port or island fees.

Price difference to resolve: a summary card elsewhere gives IDR 13,500,000-15,500,000, rather than this charter block's IDR 16,500,000-28,000,000. The separate fishing package also displays IDR 13,500,000. Their relationship is not established.

Party difference to resolve: the private-fishing headline says up to six, the charter says eight to seventeen, and the summary says up to eight. Those may refer to different products or boats, but the page does not provide enough identity evidence to decide. A large party needs an assigned-vessel confirmation before treating any of those numbers as usable capacity.

Ninety-minute snorkeling near Sanur

The short snorkeling programme is described as ninety minutes near Sanur at IDR 300,000 per person. Its stated inclusions are a captain and boat, snorkeling equipment, snacks and mineral water. A guide and underwater camera can be requested, but their prices and inclusion status are not established.

This is a local snorkeling description, not evidence of a Nusa Penida itinerary or a fishing session. Ask where the boat departs, where the activity takes place, which equipment sizes are available and whether an accompanying guide is part of your quote. The selected boat, guest limit and access arrangements remain to be confirmed.

Ninety-minute sunset boat tour with fishing and snorkeling

The sunset-labelled programme describes ninety minutes of fishing and snorkeling along Sanur. Fishing equipment, snorkeling equipment and lifejackets are listed. The page gives IDR 1,000,000 for one person, IDR 1,500,000 for two, and IDR 500,000 for each extra person. The main price's charging basis is not independently stated, so it should not be relabelled as a per-boat total without confirmation.

Despite the sunset title, an exact departure time is not established in the reviewed block. Nor is a minimum age, named boat or maximum party. Ask how the two activities share the ninety minutes, whether companions can simply enjoy the boat outing, and what the operator proposes if conditions change. Family-oriented wording is not a verified eligibility policy.

Meetup, pickup and the practical confirmation

The operator identifies Sanur as its location and labels a Sanur Fishing Charter meeting point. The exact embarkation coordinates, pier or beach procedure and hotel transfer terms were not established in this inspection. A business location is not sufficient boarding information. Request a map pin, meeting instructions and a clear distinction between arrival time and boat departure time.

For your group, state the total number aboard separately from the number wishing to fish or snorkel. Ask about the actual vessel's passenger limit, available fishing sets, seating, toilet, shade and boarding access. A price tier, equipment count or promotional passenger headline answers only its own question. It cannot substitute for the other details.

The reviewed page does not establish a deposit schedule, cancellation policy, weather-change procedure or selected-date availability. Ask for those terms together with the final price, fuel and fees, route, return time and assigned boat. Our normal enquiry process starts with preferred dates and group requirements; the trip is confirmed after the captain's availability and conditions have been checked.

A useful enquiry checklist

  • Which of the six programmes is being quoted, and which fishing methods or snorkeling stops are included?
  • What is the total IDR amount for the whole party, its charging basis and every optional extra?
  • What are the agreed boarding, departure and return times, and does the duration include travel?
  • Which boat and captain are assigned, and how many passengers and active anglers can it accommodate?
  • Are hotel pickup, fuel, port fees, food, drinks and activity equipment included in this particular quote?
  • What deposit, balance, cancellation and weather-change terms apply to the selected date?
  • Which documents support any permit or insurance inclusion, and how is catch handling agreed?

Frequently asked questions

Are all six programmes fishing trips?

No. The list includes beginner and professional fishing, private big-boat fishing, a broader full-day charter, local snorkeling, and a sunset-labelled fishing-and-snorkeling outing. Confirm the actual activities in the programme you request.

Are the published prices per person?

Only the snorkeling block explicitly gives IDR 300,000 per person. Beginner and professional ladders describe one private boat by party size. The main big-boat, charter and sunset price bases need confirmation; the sunset extra is listed per additional person.

Can six beginners go for IDR 4,500,000?

The detailed six-person tier is IDR 5,000,000, while the summary ends at IDR 4,500,000. Neither should be silently substituted for a selected-date quote.

Is professional fishing three or five hours?

Its detailed programme says up to five hours; the operator's messaging link contains a three-hour description. Ask for the exact programme and agreed return time.

Does the large boat take seventeen people?

One charter description mentions eight to seventeen on request; other blocks mention six or eight. The registered vessel and certified capacity are unknown. Confirm the assigned boat rather than relying on the largest number.

Does snorkeling equipment mean a snorkeling stop is included?

Professional fishing lists free snorkeling gear on advance request, but a dedicated stop, guide and extra time are not established. The separate ninety-minute snorkeling programme has its own description.

Are lunch, pickup and insurance included everywhere?

No such universal inclusion is established. The private big-boat fishing block lists a lunchbox, permit and insurance, while the traditional programmes list snacks and water. Hotel pickup and policy documents remain unconfirmed.

Can I choose dates now?

You can request preferred dates and describe your group. Published schedules are references, not live availability. Boat, captain, terms and the final price need confirmation before the trip is agreed.
